It's not just the year of the no-hitter in Major League Baseball. It is also the year of celebration injuries.
Kendrick Morales' walk-off home run for the Angels in June ended his season when he jumped to touch home plate, breaking his leg when he came down awkwardly.
With that went the Angels playoff hopes.
And Florida left fielder Chris Coghlan is headed for the disabled list with a torn meniscus in his left knee that could need surgery after he delivered a pie in the face to a teammate on Monday.
Are they fluke injuries? Sure. But they also could have been avoided. Think twice before leaping into the air to join a pile up.
