Palma shortstop Jaime Vega will play baseball next spring at San Jose State as a recruited walk-on.
Last spring Vega hit over .400 for the Chieftains, leading them to a Central Coast Section Division III title.
Current Spartan shortstop Zac Jones was drafted in the 24th round by the Kansas City Royals.
Vega will become a teammate of Monterey graduate David Wayne Russo.
