Incaviglia signs pro contract

Thomas Incaviglia, who began his collegiate career at Oklahoma State as an outfielder, was signed to pitch for the Grand Prairie AirHogs of the Independent American Association.
Incaviglia closed out his college baseball career this past spring at CSU-Monterey Bay. While Independent Leagues have no affiliation to any Major League Baseball organization, any team could sign him to a minor league contract.
It also opens a door for the left-hander, who returned to pitching after being an outfielder at Oklahoma State and Texas. He's still relearning the craft.
In his only appearance for the AirHogs, he tossed two shutout innings, striking out one.
