Moving a lineman to the backfield last fall produced a 1,000 yard rusher for Greenfield.
So don't be surprised if the Bruins do it again this season with Daniel Breaux.
An all-league defensive end last year as a sophomore, the 6-foot-3, 215-pound Breaux is a prime candidate to be a starting tailback.
The biggest difference with Breaux making the transition is he has played the position before at the lower levels and has deceptive speed. He has two older brothers that were running backs at Greenfield.
I still see Breaux as a speed rusher on defense. But outside of Carmel, who really throws the ball? Don't waste his talents on offense.
