North Salinas junior Julia Ashen and Salinas senior Sarah Reams got some big time attention on Wednesday playing volleyball against the Slovenian Junior National team.
The pair have spent the off-season playing for the Main Beach 18-gold vollebyall team, which will compete next month in the Junior Nationals in Miami.
Reams, last years Herald Volleyball Player of the Year, has already verbally committed to St. Mary's as an outside hitter while the 6-foot-3 Ashen is gathering interest from a number of college programs.
The team that the pair are playing for during the off-season have six players that are headed, or have committed to Division I programs.
