The careers of 12 Panther players is being extended, as a dozen have landed football scholarships for this coming fall.
Headlining the list is former Monterey High linebacker Matt Wright and receiver J’uan Campbell, as the pair will play in the fall for Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo.
The pipeline for the University of Kansas continues as defensive backs Davon Ferguson, D’Juan Moore and Jeremiah McCullough will be Jayhawks this coming fall.
Former Carmel High linemen Sione Fiefia and Hartnell teammate Brian Grace will both play at Grand View State University. Grace was among the state leaders in sacks last year along with Wright.
Defensive back Darren Jones is moving on to Dixie State in Utah while Greenfield graduate Anthony Leon will run the ball for Tabor College, with linemen Jose Rubio blocking for him.
Quarterback Nick Moreno has signed with Ottawa University in Arizona, while offensive linemen Martin Cintora has a scholarship to Kansas Weslyan University.
