State swimming

The objective tonight for Henry Blaul is to be in the top nine for Saturday's championships.
Skating through the swimming trials, though, will not be an option for the York standout.
A three-time state meet participant, Blaul will go into the trials seeded No. 9 in the 200 IM at 1:50.72 and seventh in the 100 breast at 55.71.
While 18 advance to Saturday finals, Blaul needs to be in the top nine to chase a podium finish.
Bound for Northwestern University next year to swim, Blaul swam 1:50.55 at last year's state finals to finish fifth in the 200 IM. He was fourth in the 100 breast at 55.51.
Owner of eight school records at York, Blaul will be in fast company as the top eight swimmers in the 200 IM are all under 1:50.00.
