North Salinas-Seaside girls hoops

Assuming neither team slips up on Tuesday, both teams have been hyping up Thursday's rematch on social media in a positive manner for a couple of weeks.
 Reigning five-time Gabilan Division champion North Salinas has something to prove after Seaside snapped its 30-game league winning streak on Jan. 2 with a 45-42 win.
 The Spartans also have a chip on their shoulders, eager to prove the win at North Salinas was not a fluke.
 North Salinas has been a machine since that loss, with the average margin of victory in its last four games being 30.1 points a game.
 The Spartans, meanwhile, have been involved in four games decided by seven points or less enroute to their 5-0 start.
 Jordan Olivares has continued her offensive flow for Seaside, averaging over 16 points and nearly five assists a game while Daja Mitchell is back on the court after missing a couple of games.
 Aleah Jakubowsky has provided a spark on offense for the Spartans while Khrystiana Lynch and Jocelyn Hernandez have been demons on defense.
 Freshman Natalie Morales has found help on the offensive end for the Vikings as Maxine Tennant has averaged 17.8 points a game in her last three outings.
 Senior Jozzette Reyes has been a leader by example in league play for North Salinas while Destiny  Urzua has provided an offensive spark.
 North Salinas is averaging 68 points a game during its four-game winning streak. Seaside held them to 42 in that opening season loss.
