Scotts Valley-Soledad football

Friday's game
Scotts Valley (5-2) at Soledad (4-3), 7:30 p.m.
This is for the Mission Division title, or no worse than a share of it. Barring an epic collapse, neither one of these teams is going to lose another league game.
Both teams have already knocked off defending league champion Carmel. And while Scotts Valley is undefeated in league, a loss to the Aztecs would drop them into a tie.
While the Falcons could be on a bus for two hours in Friday traffic, it might be noted that two of the Aztecs three losses this year have come at home.
That being said Soledad is expected to have Emmanuel Ortega back at tailback. Prior to injuring his shoulder against Carmel, he had rushed for over 100 yards in 10 straight games.
Ortega's presence enhances the passing game, where seven of Robbie Santa Ana's nine touchdowns this fall have gone to Angel Olivas.
Take away the 63 points Scotts Valley surrendered to Terra Nova in Week 2 and its defense has been outstanding, allowing 46 points in six games, just seven points in three league games.
Ryan Conte ignites the running game for the Falcons while receiver Carson Spence is a playmaker on the outside.
Soledad has rallied from 17 and 14 point deficits in the second half this fall to pull out wins. These two teams have never played each other.
