San Lorenzo Valley-King City football

Friday's game
San Lorenzo Valley (3-3) at King City (3-3), 7:30 p.m.
Five teams are separated by one game in the Mission Division and these are two of them, turning this into a playoff type game.
Another loss could be crippling for both teams. Not just title hopes, but postseason aspirations. The Cougars gave up a season high 49 points last week while King City was shutout for the first time.
The Mustangs are undefeated at home this year. Prior to its loss to Carmel, San Lorenzo Valley had outscored three CCS teams 122-3.
Five turnovers shut down the Cougars attack last week. In fact, in their three losses this fall, they've turned the ball over 14 times.
King City had three turnovers in last week's loss to Scotts Valley and has turned it over eight times in its last two games. On the season, it's minus five in turnover ratio.
Quarterback Trent Walker has thrown for 665 yards and nine touchdowns for San Lorenzo Valley while a running back by committee approach has chalked up 850 yards.
The Mustangs are going to struggle if they're airing it out more than running the ball, as was the case last week. The Cougars gave up over 200 rushing yards last week.
Teams are turning their attention to containing tight end Clay Barbree, who has 430 receiving yards and five touchdowns and nearly 300 rushing yards. Last week he was held to 45 yards.
